About Jane
Jane graduated from Simmons School of Social Work in 1997, earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. She is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (NH, # 1804) and is governed by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Jane is a Registered Nurse, a Certified School Counselor and has worked in the school systems for several years prior to opening a private practice. In addition, Jane has recently completed her training and has become a Certified Consulting Hypnotherapist.
Jane enjoys working with people of all ages who struggle with life’s challenges; but, Jane has a special interest in working with both children and adults who experience anxiety and related disorders. For the past several years, She has been employed as a school counselor. It was here where she witnessed first hand the effects of untreated or mistreated anxiety. School avoidance and phobia, depression, social concerns and somatic symptoms are just a few of the resulting challenges. Jane truly believes that with the correct treatment, anxiety and its related concerns can become quite manageable.
Jane is a therapist who honors confidentiality and provides a non-judgemental, safe and comfortable presence. She truly loves helping people overcome their challenges and crafts each session to meet the individual needs of each client. If a concern is out of her scope of practice, she will work to identify another resource as necessary.
